You have to love Lancia, you have to. It was a brilliant brand; inventive, eccentric and different, but now no more. Here is a lovely little Fulvia to remind you of Ol’ Vincenzo’s greatness. And oh, those steelies!

Lovely little car. The first time I saw one (series II or III, my memory fails me) in real life was on a narrow street on the outskirts of Florence. Its owner casually parked it on the street (didn’t even bother with driving it onto the pavement) in front of a barber shop with windows down (of course), turned it off and went to the shop owner for a chat and a haircut. Italians… You gotta love ’em.
I’ve had a soft spot for Fulvias ever since. I’d have mine in Prima Serie form, ideally in azure blue or white, on black steelies of course. Its purity of form and function is just irresistible.
Thanks Tony. Yes the Fulvia is a honey alright. I too would have a dark blue first series.
